NORTHSTARS U15 Tier I - Welcomes New Head Coach

NorthStars Hockey Club would like to welcome their new coach to the program.  Mike Nelson, has been named as the Head Coach of the U15 Tier I "Pure" team.  

Mike is a former professional hockey player having spent four seasons in the E.C.H.L as well as one professional season in Austria. Following his playing career Mike returned to his Ontario Hockey League team, the Erie Otters,  as an Assistant Coach for six seasons under the guidance of former NHL Coach and player Robbie Ftorek. While in Erie, Coach Nelson primarily focused on player skill development, in game analysis and has helped many players reach the next level of their playing careers including a handful of current NHL players, most notably Ryan O'Reilly of the Buffalo Sabres. Mike is currently an Assistant Coach with the Hudson Hawks varsity team and he and his wife Diana reside in Hudson, MA.
