Mite Majors moved to 4-0 with a win at South Shore on Sunday

The Mite Major Northstars kept their record perfect on Sunday by defeating the South Shore Dynamos. The game was close from the opening face off to the final buzzer, with neither team having more than a one goal lead.

The scoring was opened by South Shore in the first period, scoring on a well executed odd man rush. The Northstars answered with Nathan Terski beating the Dynamo goaltender to the glove side. The play was set up by good passing between Kyle Carroll and Aiden Cornwell. The Northstars took the lead on a goal by Kyle Rogers, with Drew Albertson assisting. The Dynamos answered quickly, netting the game at 2-2. Minutes later, Nathan Terski broke loose and scored his second goal of the game, giving the Northstars a 3-2 lead. In the third period, the Dynamos tied the game at 3-3 with 10 minutes left. 23 seconds later, Nathan Terski took a good pass from Aiden Cornwell / Danny Sheeran, and scored his 3rd goal, giving the Northstars the lead 4-3. The Mite Majors played excellent defense and held on for the win. Nicholas Werner was strong in net, notching his 3rd victory of the season. The defense, short handed (3 players), put in a tremendous effort with Joey Gow, Patrick Gray, & Drew Albertson keeping the Dynamos away from the Northstars net for most of the game.

Even more impressive than being 4-0 is the fact that the Mite Majors have won all 4 on the road. This Sunday is the first Home game for the Northstars as the face the NV River Rats at 2:30pm.
