Mite Majors Tie Dual State Huskies

The two teams on top of the Mite Major division met on Sunday with the Northstars visiting Dual State Huskies. The game proved why both teams were on top of the division with good hockey being played by both teams. At the end of the game, they were both still on top.

After a scoreless first period, dominated by great goaltending, the Northstars opened the scoring early in the second. Nathan Terski put a point blank wrist shot into the top right corner to beat the Huskies goaltender. The play was set up by the good passing of Aidan Cornwell and Kyle Carroll. The Huskies answered with a goal with one minute left in the second period to net the game at 1-1.  The third period was dominated by defense and goaltending and the game ended in a tie.

The defense of Joey Gow, Rohan Herur, Patrick Gray, and Colin Hedvig kept the Dual State Huskies at bay. The real Star of the game was Northstar Goaltender Nicholas Werner. Nick made several great saves, including 4 in a row in front of the net, to keep the game close and preserve the tie.

The Northstars next game is December 19 against the GBL Bruins.
